We received a fantastic welcome! We went there for the first time at the beginning of a seminar in Amsterdam. The food was delicious and the owner was incredibly warm and hospitable. So we went back at the end of our stay. Just as satisfied as the first time!! We recommend it 1000%!
Well worth its Michelin star. Truly exceptional food, with a lot of earthy tastes (smoke, jerusalem artichoke, cauliflower, chestnut). All in truly original and tasteful combinations. Also don’t miss the incredible wine pairing. Clear value for money even if this type of deliciousness will never be cheap. Great modern setting with a lovely view of the open kitchen. Very friendly and attentive staff, can’t recommend them highly enough!
Food is good, service is terrible. 5-6 waiters all wandering around but pretending not seeing us even until 40-50 minutes after we’ve finished our dishes.
This is something incredibly rude that I’ve never seen before in any Michelin-star restaurant. Prevent going to this spot if possible.
We went there two weeks in a row on Monday nights. The first time, they had the most delicious pea soup ever! And the second Monday night, they had delicious tom kha kai soup. Compliments to the chef! My husband and son's burgers were also delicious.
Villa Orange is a true hidden gem in the city center. They have a wonderful and fun concept. We tried the "Orange Three" and look how great it was! All sorts of delicious snacks like truffle fries, burrata, macarons, and much more. We also got to choose two drinks and two proseccos. Truly perfect for a cozy drinks afternoon. Everything was perfectly taken care of and super tasty.
Definitely recommended if you're looking for a unique spot in Amsterdam with a great vibe and good food and drinks. We'll definitely be back! 🍊🥂
I've been there more than once! It's a very charming coffee shop with a lively atmosphere. You'll often see elderly people coming in to buy a cup of coffee and quietly enjoying it – I love the vibe! The staff are also very friendly ❤️
I really enjoy sitting on the sofa by the window, watching people walk by; it's so relaxing!
Laptop-friendly, and the Wi-Fi is excellent. Highly recommended! ☺️
Unfortunately, the high tea was a disappointment. We had a reservation for 4:00 PM, but we were a bit early (3:30 PM), and the employee at the desk told us that wasn't a problem and that we could wait in the lobby for a bit and be picked up shortly. We weren't brought to our table until 4:10 PM, 10 minutes after our reservation, which was already a bit frustrating. The food and tea were tasty, but didn't meet expectations. The food was quite small and not particularly special (slices of bread with the crust cut off, which we don't think is what you expect from the Amstel Hotel). One member of our group skipped tea and instead had coffee. Unfortunately, we were charged €6 for this simple, lukewarm black coffee. We would like to mention, however, that the restaurant staff were very friendly. When collecting our coats, one of them was torn, which wasn't the case at all when we brought it back, and the staff acted as if nothing was wrong and basically ignored it. We found this rather rude, as the jacket was torn in the hotel's wardrobe.
Not a 5-star experience.
