Traveling through Europe and having not eaten anything that felt like home cooking, I went into this place without much research, I just walked in and I honestly don't regret it. I had a lamb stew and it was the most delicious, hot, and home-style food I could have ever eaten. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was family-friendly, and the food was top-notch. I would definitely go back.
I ordered food for the first time.
The rice and curry were tasty, but the kebabs were not tasty at all, and there were those white things in the meat of the seek kebab.
I don't know what kind of meat it was.
I got served a coffe that has been made to the previous client a while ago, don’t even know when because the previous client already finished the her coffe.
Plus I bought a croissant that dropped on the til and the lady still served the same croissant instead of changing it.
And the only thing she said is , this is the way we serve .
The window display is the only nice thing in this bakery.
We sampled a few products, cookies lemon sponge, banana bread and 2 croissants.
The croissants were okay, but for €2.65 they are below average. Better in Lidl/Aldi.
The rest, honestly my wife can make better. Our kids didn't want more than a couple bites and I would agree.
Service, 1 girl on her own. Shop not really busy. My wife waited 15 minutes while people came in and barged passed her.
Also, the lemon sponge was tied in a plastic bag. The worst way to package a sponge. Maybe why it was so dry.
Dissapointing for what looks like a really nice baker on the edge of the amazing Albert Cruyp Market, where may wonders await.
If this bakery has a speciality, we didnt get it. Maybe it was bad timing on a Monday afternoon.
Just ordered food here via Thuisbezorgd. It was delivered quickly, was still piping hot (even though I don't live around the corner), and the portions were large. Bread rolls on the side, Parmesan cheese in a separate container. I lived around the corner for years and feel stupid for never having ordered food here before, because it was really incredibly delicious! All this for a very good price.
I found it very expensive for the small amount of food. The dish is pre-plated, and I thought it was quite expensive, including everything we consumed. It wasn't a bad experience, but I wouldn't go back.
We had dinner at this restaurant in Rembrandtplein and, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. We ordered the barbecue buffalo chicken with roasted sweet potato and the chicken saté. The buffalo chicken was overcooked and partly burnt, while the saté became overly sweet and heavy after a few bites. We were also assured that the saté would be made with chicken breast, but it clearly wasn’t.
On top of that, the fries we ordered never arrived. The place itself isn’t terrible, but it definitely didn’t feel particularly clean. Overall, I wouldn’t go back.
