Hi, I was there last week with a friend of mine. At the first moment I walked in, the atmosphere was great and the staff members were very polite. After we have ordered the food, the food was very quickly ready. Moreover, the food was delicious. I would certainly recommend it to other people!
This was one of the most memorable dining experiences we’ve had in our four years of living in Amsterdam. Every course was prepared with so much care and explained beautifully by Chef Ken and his team. The food itself was incredible, but what made it even better were all the tips he shared on how to enjoy each bite to get the best flavours and textures.
I’ve been lucky enough to eat at some amazing spots - from a tiny sushi place in Osaka’s fish market to Endo in London - and I can genuinely say that Ken Sushi is right up there with them in terms of quality and the overall experience. It’s a family business run with so much passion, and we’re huge fans of what Chef Ken has created.
Very disappointing food: the starters were flavourless and very poorly presented for their price. Not everything was served together: we had to wait for naan and for clean plates after the main course was set out.
Lots of simple food and drink items from the menu were not available that evening and therefore I suspect the meal was not made fresh. For example: naan + garlic naan were available, but not peshwari naan, keema naan, etc.
I missed the warm towels and the serving order of some things was s bit weird but otherwise it was like being in Japan again.
Good food, lovely fresh tofu, good soba and gyoza. Nice salmon salad and a nice range of Sake.
I'd eat here again!
Small place with typical Dutch cuisine found thanks to the good reviews. They don't have a paper menu but the girl explained everything to us. Typical Dutch cuisine, very good! The pates are out of this world! Both meat and fish, I recommend them. The chicken was also very good. Fast service. Prices are normal for Amsterdam.
