We had a delicious meal at Bar Kaspar. The dishes were well-seasoned and clearly prepared with care. A beautiful combination of flavors without being too heavy. The service was pleasant and professional; the staff were friendly and attentive to the table without being intrusive. The relaxed atmosphere makes it a pleasant place to dine in peace. All in all, a very good experience and definitely a place we'd love to return to.
Loved the food and quick service. We ordered Hainanese chicken rice and mee goreng nyonya. The chicken was beautifully cooked and had amazing flavour. Definitely recommended!
At the cafe. Spent entire multiple days on multiple trips there. Stopped by for a beer and smoke, 3hrs later I thought I should go explore. After searching Amsterdam for the best place to eat, burn and drink I realized that I had already found it.
Now when my brother and I need to discuss âfamily, retirement or whateverâ we say to one another, âwe need to go back and hang out with Dave.
Not even kidding, was there in October and then again in December. And both trips there were multiple days when we got there at 9:30am for breakfast and a latte and didnât leave until midnight.
It's rare to find friendly waiting staff in Amsterdam, so that was the first delight. I loved the pure ingredients. It's like a home cooked meal, but original and creative. Acoustics upstairs are really lovely, didn't have to yell at my friends or strain my voice and could hear them without putting too much energy into focusing on their sound and asking to repeat. The only thing I regret is not taking any pictures.
A very tasty Surinamese takeout restaurant. We came all the way from Soest because of a nice video on Instagram by ChefvandeLeq.
Note!
They no longer have a restaurant, only takeout! The restaurant burned down.
It's definitely delicious Surinamese food, and definitely worth it. Everything is homemade and very fresh.
But I had an even better Surinamese meal at restaurant New Draver.
I got this tip from a customer who was ordering at the same time as me.
The homemade sambal is fantastic, and so is the food!
I'll definitely go back and order when I'm in the area.

We used to eat there often, but finally went back. They don't shout anymore (waiters), but the steaks are still numbered!
It was delicious! Desserts from Holtkamp đ„°
Highly recommended!
4 stars for the atmosphere, but I thought the decor was awful and not fitting for a restaurant that's been around for 155 years. Too bad.
It is a beautiful place in a great location!
