I am pregnant, and I was denied access to the restroom unless I bought something first. Any mother or woman will understand that when you have an urgent problem, you sometimes have only minutes. I would have gladly paid for something afterward, but this kind of attitude is unacceptable. A complete lack of empathy and basic human understanding. Very disappointing experience.
Always a brilliant experience here, whether it’s just a coffee, snack, or a top class meal. The staff are so welcoming and there’s a genuine warmth and “feel good” atmosphere - helped along by the fantastic cocktails! Tucked away at the end of the Red Light District, it’s a gem waiting to be discovered. Thanks to all the team for always looking after us so well…. see you soon!
A very cute little bar/ restaurant right at the start of Vondelpark, especially cute and viby in summer but also nice to visit in winter as it’s also open every day. Also little insider tip, they have a very nice toilet especially if you’re near there in summer 😉
What a surprise this place is! And even more so when you've been stuck in Amsterdam for days and you're Spanish 🙂
Ferni served us, and what a wonderful girl! She helped us with several questions we had, and besides... I TRIED SOME OF THE BEST AIOLI IN THE WORLD (not even in Spain!).
The garlic prawns were delicious, as were the bread and the sirloin skewers—the meat was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender.
Thank you, Ferni, for everything! 💕 🫂
Delicious New Year's meal! Meat and fish cooked by hand on a lava stone 😍
No kids' menu, but a dish shared between two 👍🏼
It was really cold in the basement 😬
This place is one of my favourite spots in town. If only the internet connection worked properly (it almost never does), it would be my go to place to eat, meet friends, and work.
The food was ok . The spaghetti was dry no enough tomato sauce and the stake was very good - the pizza was a little thick to Italian pizza the staff were nice and welcoming the place is cozy
Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. We went there expecting Persian food, but there was very little that felt authentic. When we arrived, we were asked whether we had a reservation, even though the restaurant was completely empty, which already felt unwelcoming.
The staff was rude, looked annoyed, and were more focused on their phones than on serving guests. We were seated at the back of the restaurant, where there was a noticeable smell coming from the restroom, which made the experience very unpleasant.
As for the food, the lamb was extremely tough and chewy, more like rubber than properly cooked meat. The triple mix was very small and of very poor quality — definitely not worth ordering.
I also do not recommend choosing bread instead of rice. The “bread” turned out to be a reheated tortilla, which has nothing to do with authentic Persian cuisine. Overall, there was nothing authentic about this restaurant, and we will definitely not be returning.
