Good burgers but food should have been hotter. The fries and burgers were warm, not hot, as if they'd been sitting on the pass too long. We did mention this to our server who told us we weren't the first customers to raise this issue and she'd inform the kitchen.
We ordered one pizza and one steak. It took 1.5 hours to arrive. The waiters' communication was poor. On top of that long wait, the steak wasn't cooked to our desired doneness; it was overcooked. We stated that we didn't want it that way. They said they would change it immediately, but that took a long time. This time, they brought it very undercooked. I do not recommend it.
✨️ - Food was really tasty, and didn't take long at all.
✨ - Big portion sizes, so really good value for a brunch spot.
🪄 - As with other reviews, wait staff are just okay, you kind of have to get their attention, rather than them coming to you, one staff member was having their break beside us and they had their headphones and looked miserable which ruined the experience a little.
Visited as near to our hotel, luvly friendly welcome from female staff, wearing nice trousers and lacey tops. We order a bottle of wine. Then Ordered Kleine Rijsttafel for 3 of us to share. Dishes included white rice, pork in soya sauce, slow cooked beef, chicken satay, prawn crackers with toasted coconut and peanuts, to name a few of them. All our food was delicious and freshly prepared. Our Indonesian food was very different to what we had ever tasted before, everything was very flavoursome. We thoroughly njoyed our visit, just a pity we were unable to return. The restaurant is beautiful, bright and very spacious, the decor, photographs, statues etc make it very authentic. Highly recommend a visit here. Hopefully return if we return to Breda. :) :) :)
they are late open, fires not having salt , and toilet it is a mess sometimes what i wrong with the trails why are we able to spin them with the food on it the bottom i boombed right in the middle
This is the most beautiful location I have come across. Lovely atmosphere and a beautiful view of, you’ll never guess 🤭, a windmill, among other things! 😊
That evening, we were looking for a nice place to have one last drink, and we found our spot for two at Toque Toque. 🍸
We ordered a Pornstar Martini mocktail—specifically *the* mocktail. Our waitress told us they also had it as a regular cocktail. When I asked how the mocktail actually tasted, her answer was very honest: “I don’t know, I never order that.” 😂 Fine, then we’ll taste it for you!
And the verdict: it tasted surprisingly good, actually exactly what you would expect from a Pornstar Martini, only without the alcohol. Unfortunately, we didn't end up being able to tell our waitress what we thought of it. 😂
Otherwise, it is just a nice place to sit. Atmospheric and lively, with a beautiful view of the canal next to the McDonald’s. Definitely a nice place to end the evening.
The food tasted like nothing. What a filthy mess that was, just dry, old, no taste, nothing. Even the sashimi was disappointing, yuck, ate with 5 people and 4 of them felt sick.
And you pay €44 for this rubbish.
Never coming back, a bunch of scammers.
What nonsense all those negative stories are!!!!!
Of course, something can go wrong once in a while (that can happen at any restaurant) or maybe you ate a bit too much and got sick because of it??
But to trash Wok Inn like that, they most certainly do NOT deserve that.
I have eaten there dozens of times and EVERYTHING has ALWAYS been good.
Very friendly, calm people work there.
They get a solid TEN from me!
Disappointed with this experience.
I've been to this restaurant before and never had a problem, but this time I was quite surprised. I ordered a €23 steak, which arrived with a small salad but no fries. I asked the waitress why, and she explained that fries were extra. I found that really disappointing, especially since it cost an additional €5.50 for a portion of frozen fries.
I ordered them anyway, but they arrived very late, by which time I had already eaten about two-thirds of my steak. My steak had therefore become cold by the time the fries arrived.
Water was also extra, at €7 per bottle, and there was no bread or other small snack to enjoy while we waited. So we had to buy bread, which also cost €5.
In the end, I find the extra charges excessive: €23 for a steak without fries, €5.50 for fries, €7 for water, and €5 for bread. Their pricing and extra charge policy really needs to be reviewed, as it unfortunately gives the impression that everything is being charged extra.
I should point out that this isn't the fault of the servers, who are simply doing their job and following the established procedures. The problem lies more with the management, the menu, and the pricing structure.
Personally, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant based on this experience.
Although the initial impression was negative (few tables occupied, patio furniture poorly maintained and partly dirty), the food was absolutely delicious (Pizza Parma, Pizza Caprese, Pizza Burrata al Tartufo, Spaghetti Carbonara). I'd even say it was the best pizza I've had in a long time. The service was okay, but the restroom definitely needed a thorough cleaning.
The staff was friendly. They helped find a suitable table for two children.
The food was served quickly, but unfortunately, the bottom of the children's pancake was completely burnt. Unfortunately, we only discovered this while eating. The amount of strawberries on the children's pancake was good, though.
Very nice play area for the little ones. Recommended. An extra light could be hung up though, as it is quite dark.
