We ate at Sophia's for the second time. Upon arrival, we could only sit outside because the waitress was alone and it would otherwise be too crowded. Fine, understandable, and a spot was made for us so that we wouldn't have to sit next to smokers with our small children.
However, what is incomprehensible is that the chef decides himself whether a baguette can be ordered in advance. The waitress came back with the news that he was not going to make a baguette, even though we asked for one.
The previous time this was possible without any issues, and the atmosphere was also much more pleasant...
The waitress made up for a lot, but still, this visit was a letdown.
What a nice surprise!
The restaurant is stylish and has a great atmosphere. The Caesar salad was excellent, fresh and full of flavor. The tiramisu was beautifully presented and tasted great as well — and as an Italian, I can be quite critical when it comes to tiramisu!
What impressed me the most was the service. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, without ever trying to push additional orders or upsell. A refreshing dining experience from start to finish.
I will definitely be back.
This company now operates under the name ManQal Grab 'n Grill through Uber Eats. As previous reviews of Beykoz (the former name) indicate, the food is absolutely terrible. We ordered from here, and it arrived cold. It was tasteless and tough. The rice was the most flavorless rice I've ever eaten.
Don't order from here.
Ordered 3 pizzas and opted for ASAP delivery.
Two hours later, still no pizzas. I called.
Argument: Just out of the oven, sick employees, we'd get a little extra to compensate.
Reality: The receipt said the pizzas had been out of the oven an hour ago, the pizza was almost cold, and no extra compensation.
For 11 euros, you get a mini pita that you can customize and that barely fits anything, even though you ordered a doner kebab sandwich.
I don't need an Ikea sandwich; I want a ready-made one with everything in it. I don't get the idea behind this.
Because it's in my neighborhood, I regularly get roti here for the family. I never gave it a 10, but it was good enough for when I didn't feel like cooking. Over the past two or three months, the taste has really deteriorated (although the price has improved), which is a shame. The last two times were so disappointing that I won't go again. Next time, I'll drive a bit further for a roti I actually like.
I placed an order yesterday at 17:40; it was scheduled for delivery at 19:02. They told me I had to wait about another 40 minutes, so I asked if they would cancel the order. The employee said she had cancelled the order, but I have not received any notification about the cancellation, and the status of the order on the website is still listed as ‘not cancelled’. I am waiting for my refund; this is yet another time I have had problems with this pizzeria.
It arrived 45 minutes later than indicated, the satay sauce was missing, there was no cheese left in the cheese soufflé, and the sambal was scattered throughout the bag instead of in the container.
