Our first night in Amsterdam and we had the most amazing meal here. Everything was delicious. Our reader was charming and helpful and even told us about a local coffee shop to try.
Cozy place perfect for any occasion(studying, meeting friends, having a dinner, or just unwinding after work), lovely crew, decent price, boutique café by day, and sophisticated lounge by night. The dishes are artfully presented. Passionfruit cheesecake was exquisite.
Thanks
Update: there are still some nice and friendly staff members, but the quality of the food and the vegan options have gone down. Previous: Great hotel and restaurant. The staff is amazing and they always have vegan options on the menu or ad hoc. Fabulous wine list and cocktails too. My favourite hang out spot in Amsterdam. PS: superb terrace!
This bakery and coffee shop was just round the corner from our hotel. We had tea and cake when we first arrived and then had breakfast two consecutive days before having to fly home. A good casual artisan venue I would frequent if I lived locally and also recommended to tourists like me
Bonito interior. Frente al mercado de flores. Muy buena ubicación también. Muy recomendable para todos.
Café Batavia 1920 is a fantastic place to stop, whether you’re sightseeing or just looking for a relaxed pub with a great atmosphere. The staff were genuinely welcoming, attentive, and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The drinks were excellent too—especially the Peroni (€5) and the Guinness (€6), both served perfectly. 🍻
The café has a warm, cozy vibe with a beautiful historic feel, making it an ideal spot to unwind after exploring the city. Friendly service, fair prices, and a lovely atmosphere—I’d happily come back anytime. Highly recommended!
This is a great spot in the 9 streets area. The udon options are not your typical dishes. The chicken gyoza and sauce that accompanies it are packed with flavor. The servers are really patient and helpful.
Super cozy Spanish restaurant. Great atmosphere, really feels like you're in Spain for a moment. The food and wines are delicious and the service is super friendly too. We will definitely be back!
Highly recommended I’ll definitely be back!
The food was absolutely delicious. I had the shakshuka and the pancakes-they were so good that I didn’t even have time to take proper photos before I ate them.
We sat outside, and the atmosphere was very calm and peaceful, with no unnecessary noise
I gave 5 stars in every category except service, only because we had to wait quite a while for our food. That said, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and kind.
We visited Helling 7 for a birthday celebration and had a wonderful dining experience. The service was warm and attentive throughout the evening, with the staff regularly checking in without ever being intrusive.
We started with two small bites. The grilled North Sea shellfish were excellent—the grilling concentrated all the flavors, making the meat incredibly rich and delicious. The grilled breadstick was crispy, light, and nicely seasoned with herbs.
For starters, we shared the tuna and the entrecôte carpaccio. The entrecôte was our favorite, perfectly seasoned and beautifully balanced with the sweetness of the tomatoes and the freshness of the radish.
For the main course, we shared the signature sea bass. The portion was generous, and the fish was cooked perfectly with wonderfully crispy skin. The sauce, enriched with fish roe, was flavorful and added a nice contrast in texture, although it became a little heavier towards the end of the meal.
We chose eggplant and grilled bell peppers as side dishes. The eggplant had a bit too much spring onion for my personal taste, but the grilled bell peppers with feta sauce were an absolute highlight. They were so delicious that we’d happily come back just to order them again.
Even though we were already very full, we couldn’t resist trying one dessert, and we’re so glad we did. It was exceptional—the banana purée paired beautifully with the chocolate, caramel sauce, and ice cream, creating a perfectly balanced finish to the meal.
We’re already looking forward to returning when the seasonal menu changes to try more of the chef’s creations. Highly recommended!
Awesome visit to De Pizzakamer. They were able to find a spot for us even though they were fully booked. Service was awesome and the pizza was delicious! Highly recommend!
Great place for custom cocktails or even new experiences in the pallette. I'm fussy on bars, after 12 or so bars in Amsterdam this trip, or many more over two years. This is the place to go. Great options and staff.
