De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

Had a delicious meal; the food is above pub level. Casual atmosphere, relaxed; people are reading a book alone and eating something, friends are having drinks and dining. Very friendly service. Top notch!

Honestly food is mediocre, but the staff were amazing. Atmosphere was great until what appeared to be the owner came in and was visibly upset with the staff. The entire energy in the restaurant changed, music turned down, customers left, etc. **Warning, €1 for a tiny side of mayonnaise

Delicious shawarma for 30 years

I was charged for a beer I didn't drink. I informed the manager, but he didn't accept it and commented: "unbelievable". He gave me back 4 Euros, which I left on the counter, saying: "you can keep it". He must be used to drunks trying to cheat them, but that's certainly not our case. Serious businesses don't argue, they resolve things. I hope that with these 4 Euros the owner feels better, but I leave with a clear conscience. It's important that future patrons check their bills. I imagine the owner wasn't malicious, but it was quite unfair. What a shame!

Big and spacious restaurant with a few separated room, perfect for a gathering. Food is quite good, extensive menu of sushi, sashimi and other Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Apart from that, they always have monthly promotion menu which is quite good value for money. For €29.50 you got 2 carbs options (chose from noodles or rice or rice noodles) 3 main menus (chicken/beef/pork) and one starter (spring rolls or other starter), the portion is quite generous also. We ordered the monthly menu quite often as we live not too far, and often we couldn't finish it in one seating so we still have leftover and we keep it in the fridge for later. We ordered from their website, and it delivered quite fast, in about 15 minutes every time! So overall, quite happy with the food, value for money and excellent service! Kudos, keep up the good work!

A really cozy neighborhood cafe.

Yesterday I visited Bar Centraal, which has entered into a fantastic collaboration with Stiel. Tim, the amazing chef at Bar Centraal, together with Mattia, the chef at Stiel, blew me away with their dishes. As an aperitif, we had oysters, a delicious homemade cheese soufflé (Mattia’s special), and a damn good matching Crémant. As a starter, we had oyster mushroom skewers grilled in a delicious marinade, of which we could have easily eaten 10. For the main course, we had two pastas. The first was with pesto and goat cheese; it was delicious, a super good flavor combination, and the goat cheese was superb. The second was with cherry tomatoes in a fish sauce, and this dish was truly astonishingly good. We finished the feast with a deliciously tender chicken, accompanied by a super light homemade Japanese bun (oh yes, the chefs are bakers too, what can't they do!). The service had a calm and pleasant atmosphere, with a lot of knowledge about the wines and food and wine pairings. Had a great evening, would recommend it to everyone!

The meat is very delicious, the beef burger is normal

I love this local cafe, and host my book club meetings here (the Amsterdam Women Book Club). Today, when I returned after being away for over a month travelling, I discovered that they will close! I hope the new owners keep the same wonderful atmosphere. I will miss Neeraj especially.

Old school Amsterdam vibe, very relaxed and fair prices

When we entered, the music was very loud. We asked to turn the volume down, which would be done, but it remained the same. We asked again, same story. Finally we left. Advice to owner: loud music does not get you more customers. A lot of people look for a quiet place, therefore no music will get you the most customers and more revenue.

Pont 13 is now Ferry. Very cozy and delicious food.

Every weekend, Saturday and Sunday mornings, we get up early and drive all the way from Amsterdam North specifically to the Koffiesalon Utrechtsestraat to have coffee here. Delicious espresso, delicious cappuccino, delicious matcha latte, great music. Addictive luxury.

Cool venue, great people, the DJs were top-notch. We had an amazing party there... The pulpit as a DJ booth is simply legendary. We'll be back.
