Last Sunday, I dined here with a business friend. Uno is very well organized. The service is prompt (sometimes a bit too much so), but overall very friendly and certainly hospitable. The gentleman with the ginger curl/mustache deserves a special mention here, as he was 100% cooperative and played his role as host very well. The food is very diverse, which makes it extra interesting, but the quality is also varied. Everything is good; some dishes stand out because they are clearly homemade, while others are clearly wholesale standard (for example, the Spekkoek cake). There's room for improvement there. I usually give 4 stars for very good (there's always room for improvement, and we don't live in a utopia. So, rarely, if ever, 5). As a skilled reviewer and taste expert, I'm giving you 3 stars, which in my opinion equates to a 7.9 in your case. THAT IS VERY GOOD! Thanks for the lovely evening, and we'll definitely see you again! :)
Traveling through Europe and having not eaten anything that felt like home cooking, I went into this place without much research, I just walked in and I honestly don't regret it. I had a lamb stew and it was the most delicious, hot, and home-style food I could have ever eaten. The service was excellent, the atmosphere was family-friendly, and the food was top-notch. I would definitely go back.
Yesterday I ordered a McKroket and received a Filet O Fish in a regular bun with ketchup.
You made my evening! You created a story I can tell to other people.
I regularly buy stuff here, it's always delicious, and the service is great.
Keep up the good work, I know it's hard during the promotional periods!
We were supposed to spend the day there with 25 people; a contract had been signed. On the day itself, the tent had been taken down, and no one was there to arrange an alternative. A disgrace! Luckily, Solbeach beach club offered a great alternative. Buena Vista has proven to be very unreliable.
We arrived at the restaurant on Sunday at 5:30 PM. There were only two tables occupied. The waitress asked if we had a reservation, but we didn't. She checked with a colleague, but we couldn't eat. And this in a restaurant with I think 50 tables, of which only two were occupied... ridiculous. Whether you want to make money or not, there were only three of us. So, no more for us...
The food and service are excellent here. The pizzas are very tasty. However, the restrooms aren't clean, and I've already noticed several times that staff don't wash their hands after using the restroom.
An unbearable smell of grilled meat permeated the restaurant, and the quality of the meat was very poor.
The hamburger was terrible, served with frozen fries.
The beef tenderloin was served without any sides.
The shrimp were served unpeeled in a bath of butter.
This food is clearly not prepared by a real chef.
Not worth it!
Unfortunately, my experience at this all-you-can-eat restaurant was very disappointing. The selection of food was limited, and what was available was often cold. The chicken was even still pink inside, which is truly unacceptable and raises concerns about food safety.
It was also extremely noisy and crowded, with an unpleasant crowd. The tables were far too close together, leaving you with little space and practically sitting on other guests' laps. Lots of children running around everywhere. The staff was also unfriendly and seemed disinterested.
I definitely wouldn't recommend it, and I won't be returning!
