A really nice little cafe, with the same friendly atmosphere you used to find in Amsterdam cafes, but closer to home. I'll definitely be back! Really nice bartender, by the way!
What an amazing find this place is! The staff is incredibly kind and the food is outstanding. Trust me and give it a try—it’s become a favorite spot close to home for us.
Ordered here via Uber. The restaurant canceled the order without giving a reason just before the delivery driver was supposed to pick it up and deliver it. I was then charged the bill because the restaurant had already started preparing the food.
I honestly don't understand why this snack bar is so highly praised. The food was incredibly disappointing. The crispy burger was completely tasteless and definitely not what I expected. It's a shame, I was hoping for more.
Before we went to the theater, we stopped for a bite to eat at the cow's. There were only two of them, but we didn't notice. The food was delicious—the steak, the burger, and the fish. And the service was incredibly friendly. They even took our time before the theater into account.
Came in here twice with my gay boys, mind you I’m a lesbian and wanted to bring them here after going to a gay bar and bar hopping for the night…I had them go 15-20 minutes out of the way on our bar stops.. came in, it took at least 10 minutes to be helped, and they gave us nasty looks and weren’t at all responsive. It’s surprising because we came from Prik and other gay bars where they were more than happy to take care of us..and then came here, and it was almost as if we were an annoyance to them. I’m surprised this place is still open after snubbing us. Not very accepting of anyone outside of the L in the LGBTQ..considering the bartenders weren’t even remotely attractive enough to be acting like that. There’s a reason lesbian bars are dying in the community,..this might be why.
It was a very good and fun evening for us. As a lesbian I felt safe and part of the community and would love to come back to Pamela any time. Such a great and friendly barkeeper as well:>>>
Excellent takeout dinner!
We had burritos filled to our liking... with the precious advice of Emanuela, a friendly Italian woman who works here (thank you)! Highly recommended!
Had a lovely romantic meal with my girlfriend, who comes here regularly. The ambiance is quiet, spacious and stylish. The dishes have strange names and may seem a bit ordinary on the menu, but everything is in the execution and that is unparalleled. The service is correct, without a 'stiff' accent and very pleasant even if you have the youngest servant at the table.
Tried from the menu:
For
- carpaccio
- tartare
Head
- ribs
- leek
After
- "dame blanche"
- 5 chocolates
Sides:
- salad
- fries
- sweet potato fries
Wine (by the glass)
- pinot grigio
- malbec
Of all the dishes, only the regular fries were really ordinary, but no one paid attention to that.
Both the carpaccio and the five chocolates were spectacular while the tartare and ribs were very good. I couldn't judge the leek properly, but it was certainly special. Both the green salad and the sweet potato fries were finger licking good. The wine was excellent. All in all a place to remember if you are in the area.
