De beste restaurants in Amsterdam

Good location, atmospheric, great service.

We actually came for the neighbors: Patisserie Holtkamp, ​​but we had a delicious pizza and a drink here.

If you want a snack before continuing your journey, this might be the place for you. What can you eat there? Croquettes in different flavors, hamburgers, fries, desserts... I tried the croquettes. Very crispy, large, and full of flavor. Everything is made fresh daily. You'll find the food in small, transparent lockers. These lockers/boxes are arranged like columns. You pay with your card and open the door you want in the chosen column. A column might have about eight transparent boxes with one croquette in each, or hamburgers, or whatever the item is. It's certainly interesting, and I think a snack is more than enough. The croquettes were €3 each, and I think the most expensive item was around €5. The place is well-lit and very clean. On my next trip to Amsterdam, I'll definitely make it my go-to spot.

I ordered a large portion of fries, which cost about 9 euros. When I received my order, the portion was about the size of a child’s meal. When I asked why it was so small, I was told that this was actually their largest portion. The food was good, but for the price it was not worth it.

A little too greasy, but quite nice and tasty; a really good hamburger to eat in this area.

It looks like a local pub with slightly more upscale food. I had a good meal.

They were closed at 17:50 instead of 18:00. I changed my plans in order to still make it, but they had already locked the door and were cleaning. It looked like they had closed it even before that as well. There was another customer that came behind me at 17:55 as well. But she couldn’t enter as well. I just wanted a cupcake :/

Traditional Georgian food, very tasty, quick service, great Khinkali and other dishes. A few weeks ago we tried another Georgian restaurant in Amsterdam but according to me, this one in Oud Zuid is so much better. The Khinkali is just like in good restaurants Tblisiand the chatapori (lamb meat) was excellent! Highly recommend this place

This restaurant deserves more. More attention, more foot traffic, more customers. Or perhaps we were just there on a quiet evening? We had a delicious meal at a friendly price. Wagyu steak for €27 tastes great! And so, in terms of price, it is really very okay. The generous portion of fries and the fine green salad that you order separately complete the experience. However, the space is large and deserves to be nicely full. The manager sitting by the door writing a bit in a notebook does not give a very active impression. Details sometimes seem to be forgotten. We had to wait quite a long time for our cocktails, and then it took even longer for the menu to arrive. The light on our table was out, and the replacement light also ran out halfway through. The staff mostly wears black (private) clothing, but company uniforms would be recommended. I really don't need to see the ladies' bare midriffs in an establishment of this caliber. The lobster tank at the back of the restaurant is empty, as is the meat aging cabinet. Are those signs of future plans, or that occupancy is declining? I don't know and I didn't ask. I hope for the former, and that this cozy place also puts in that final gear, so that details won't be a distraction anymore. The food is highly recommended in any case.
